Dad is Bad is a humorous children's picture book that shows the unconditional love between children and fathers. I brought the visions of young authors, Kylie and Lexie Burger’s, visions to life.
The Story
Unconditional Love
The story follows Kylie and Lexie’s observations of their dad’s “bad” behavior. He’s messy, clumsy, and unaware. Ultimately, though, the girls love their well-meaning dad no matter what.
The Illustrations
Fun and Wholesome
The illustrations incorporate a quirky, exaggerated, and youthful style that fits the point of view of our elementary school-aged authors. The characters are crude versions of the girls as well as their dad. They relay the family’s experiences in a cute and digestible way.
